QBE has appointed Julie Minor as group head of distribution, based in North America.

Ms Minor, who was previously at Marsh, took up the position on Monday, joining the group executive committee and reporting to CEO Andrew Horton.

“Julie brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role,” Mr Horton said. “Her customer-centric approach, deep industry expertise and understanding of the importance of broker partner relationships will position her well to help us continue to enhance our enterprise-wide customer strategy and maximise the value of our distribution expertise across regions.”

Ms Minor was a leader in global risk management at Marsh North America, QBE says.

QBE’s global head of distribution role was previously held by Julie Wood, another former Marsh employee, who last year became QBE CEO North America.
