Probitas Pacific has launched a suite of professional indemnity products backed by Lloyd’s underwriting capacity. 

The products are aimed at professionals including accountants, architects and engineers, financial planners, management consultants, IT consultants, insurance brokers, mortgage brokers, real estate agents, travel agents and recruitment consultants.  

Probitas Pacific says it also has underwriting appetite for miscellaneous professionals, and design and construction risks and solicitors on an excess basis.  

Underwriting Manager for professional indemnity Mitchell Spurr says Probitas provides affirmative coverage to reflect the growing use of artificial intelligence and other technological innovations. 

“Many professional indemnity policies are either silent on these exposures or may contain cyber exclusions that have unintended consequences and potentially exclude loss that is not provided by a cyber insurance policy,” he said.  

In addition to professional indemnity, Probitas Pacific offers cyber and property cover, as well as casualty insurance focused on the aged care industry.
