NM Insurance crowns new Captain Awards winners
Five brokerages have been crowned winners of NM Insurance's inaugural Captain Awards, which recognise excellence, expertise, authenticity and integrity.
NSW’s Brookvale Insurance Brokers and Pelagic Risk Services, New Zealand’s Crombie Lockwood, Queensland's Helm Insurance Services and WA’s Safeguard Insurance Solutions took out the awards this year.
CEO Lyndon Turner says the awards celebrate broker partners who – like NM Insurance – consistently put customers first, build respect and trust through integrity and reliability, are results-driven, work as one team, and have a commitment to learning and growth.
NM Insurance employs 80 and has nine specialist insurance brands, including Nautilus Marine Insurance, National Motorcycle Insurance, Australian Caravan Insurance and Proetus Marine Insurance. It is backed by Zurich.
Wellington-based Crombie Lockwood Head of Insurer Relationships & Broker Claims Myles Noble said his award was “special to me” as he had a strong connection to the sea and water sports.
"I deal with great people at NM Insurance who have a real interest in pleasurecraft and the marine insurance sector in general,” he said. “They have a great risk appetite and are so in touch with the market.”
Brisbane-based Helm Director Damian Pugh said NM Insurance offers “a tailored, one-on-one approach.”
"A broker is only as good as the insurance agency they are using,” he said.
NM Insurance Head of Client and Market Development Glen Schembri says the Captain Awards recognise business partners with “the same values and behaviours as us”.
"We’re all passionate about the assets our insurance products protect and want to ensure our mutual customers enjoy the great lifestyle their assets provide without the worry,” Mr Schembri said.
“It’s not every day you get recognised in such a positive way like this,” Brookvale Senior Account Executive Denise Gammie said. “It’s nice to understand we are doing something right.”
