The National Insurance Brokers Association’s awards roadshow heads to WA tomorrow, with the state’s best-performing brokers to be revealed at a gala lunch.

In the running for broker of the year honours are Westminster Coverforce account director Gavin McDiarmid, Johnson Insurance Brokers owner and director Murray Johnson, and EBM Insurance & Risk regional director Chelsey Harris.

The finalists for the young broker prize are Knightcorp Insurance Brokers commercial manager Nikita Willis, Sparksure MD Casey Fenton, and Oracle Group account manager Chloe Walker.

CGU sponsors the broker of the year prize and Vero sponsors the young broker award.

NIBA announced yesterday that Bell Partners Insurance MD Matthew Bates and Austbrokers Canberra account manager Emily-Rose Srbinovska are NSW/ACT broker and young broker of the year respectively.

After the WA event at Crown Perth, NIBA will announce Queensland broker winners on July 17, Victoria/Tasmania on July 19 and SA/NT on July 26.

The regional winners will compete for NIBA’s national awards, to be announced in October at the association’s convention in Adelaide.
