NIBA meets with NSW minister, opposition in advocacy push
The National Insurance Brokers Association has shared its members’ concerns around strata, regulatory developments and other matters with NSW politicians and regulators.
The peak body also discussed icare and the long-term sustainability of the state’s workers’ compensation scheme.
“NIBA has been visiting several senior politicians from both sides of the House, as well as regulators at the state level, to ensure that brokers are well positioned for the future as consumer expectations evolve,” the association says in a LinkedIn post.
CEO Richard Klipin and director Rebecca Wilson met with state Industrial Relations and Work Health and Safety Minister Sophie Cotsis to discuss regulatory developments.
They also met with the opposition’s small business, Fair Trading, work health and safety, and building spokesman Tim James to discuss policy, strategy, strata and icare.
A recent roundtable organised by NSW Fair Trading discussed issues in the strata sector.
“NIBA welcomes the opportunity to work with the NSW government to ensure there is openness, ongoing engagement and transparency for communities living in strata,” the LinkedIn post says.
