The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has opened entries for this year’s Community Excellence Award as well as its recently unveiled Claims Broker of the Year Award.  

The claims award, which is sponsored by Sedgwick, honours claim specialists who showcase excellence in their work and uphold standards of professionalism.   

The Community Excellence Award acknowledges the efforts of brokers who play a key role in supporting their local communities. This award is sponsored by Liberty Specialty Markets.  

Aon’s Vanessa Hilton was the recipient of last year’s award for her work in aiding residents of NSW town Cobargo with their insurance claims after it was hit by bushfires in 2019. 

The award winners will receive an all-inclusive ticket to NIBA’s 2023 Convention from October 8 to 10, including return flights and accommodation. The winner of the Community Excellence Award will also be awarded a $1000 donation to a charity of their choice.  

Submissions for the awards close on August 30.
