The New Zealand Underwriting Agencies Council will hold its next expo in Auckland on August 27.

It will be the second expo in the city in two years, and this year’s theme is similar to last year’s: Challenging Markets and Innovative Solutions.

“There was overwhelming feedback from our members and support partners that another event would continue to add value and encourage the expansion of underwriting agencies in New Zealand,” the council says in a LinkedIn post.

“We really want to encourage brokers to come to this event and engage with our members and their suppliers, and just see what they can do – mix and mingle, have an enjoyable time and listen to some fantastic keynote speakers.”

Speakers include the Financial Markets Authority’s director for deposit taking, insurance and advice Michael Hewes, and Dual New Zealand GM Paula Sheppard-Jones.
