New Javln board member eyes ‘big wins’

David Leach has joined the board at insurtech Javln, which says rapid growth is “helping to attract high-calibre talent”.

The move comes after Javln acquired Steadfast’s underwriting policy management platform and workflow software OfficeTech and this year appointed Peter Waring as CTO, Rosalie Lau as CFO and Emma Scoringe as chief marketing officer.

Founder and CEO Dale Smith says Mr Leach is a proven leader in the technology sector with a record of success in global growth and business transformation.

“He’s passionate about building world-class technology businesses, and it’s great to have him on the board as we scale the industry’s best end-to-end software platform for insurance brokers.”

Mr Leach was most recently Cin7 CEO and has held senior positions in Auckland at software company ezyVet and IT consulting firm Qrious. He was also at Orion Health for almost a decade.

He says software companies that operate quickly and scale efficiently while maintaining a quality customer experience will “win big”.

“Javln is one of these companies that is well positioned. It has a unique and exciting opportunity to be the insurance platform of choice for Kiwi and Australian brokers and agencies of all shapes and sizes,” he said.

Javln, founded in 2011, counts Trans-West Insurance Brokers and BJS Insurance Group as customers. Its platform is designed for insurers, agents, underwriters and brokers.
