MGA foundation set to donate $50,000 for flood victims

The MGA Insurance Group will next week donate $50,000 through its foundation to assist victims of the Queensland and NSW floods.

MGW Whittles Foundation Chairman Paul George says the funds will be donated to Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS).

“RAWCS will see these funds moved directly to the local Rotary clubs in these impacted areas so they can continue with their assistance to support victims,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The donation, while principally undertaken via the foundation, includes contributions from MGA Whittles Group personnel through a donation-matching initiative.

MGA Whittles foundation was formed about six years ago aimed at “making a difference together in our community”. The foundation intends to reach a combined target of $1 million in funds donated by June next year.
