McLardy McShane launches broker education program
Melbourne-based brokerage McLardy McShane has announced a new Incubator Program aimed at developing future industry talent.
The brokerage says the initiative aims to “address the gap between formal education and commercial realities,” by providing younger members of its group with valuable first-hand insights and experiences.
Led by McLardy McShane South East Director Shane Brady and National Manager Relationships Nick McLardy, the program forms part of the company’s Talent Retention and Acquisition Plan to attract ambitious employees.
“The program provides a platform for the younger crew to maximise their overall impact and productivity within McLardy McShane,” McLardy McShane CEO Don McLardy said.
“It’s an excellent initiative that helps young talent get hands-on experience and real-world exposure to help develop their career and become a pivotal part of the Group.”
The first sessions of the program began in March, with eight in-house brokers hosted at a multi-day tour of the facilities of two existing clients.
The brokerage says the initiative will continue to hold sessions in the coming months before finishing with a trip to London and Ireland, where the group intends to visit Lloyd’s-based businesses.
