Risk management group Marsh McLennan has merged its Guy Carpenter and Marsh Re facultative reinsurance businesses in the Pacific region.

Ingrid Anderson will lead the combined business as head of Carpenter Marsh Fac Pacific, based in Sydney.

She will report to Guy Carpenter head of facultative reinsurance Asia-Pacific Jeff Saper and Marsh global head of placement John Donnelly.

“Carpenter Marsh Fac will deliver the full breadth of Guy Carpenter and Marsh Re’s unrivalled facultative reinsurance capabilities,” Marsh says in a note sent to clients and seen by insuranceNEWS.com.au. 

“We will provide superior access to regional and global capacity, enhanced analytics capabilities and improved co-ordination to ceding company clients in the region.”

The note says Carpenter Marsh Fac was launched in Europe last month and the combined business has been operating in Latin America and the Caribbean since January 2020.

“We will continue to build on this winning formula by extending and adapting Carpenter Marsh Fac across the Pacific region.”
