Marsh says Andrew George and John Donnelly will join its executive committee.  

The move comes as Mr George begins his role as Marsh Specialty president, overseeing the global business in sectors related to aviation, climate and sustainability, construction, and financial and professional lines, among others.

He has been with Marsh for 37 years, holding several roles in Marsh Specialty’s energy division, including as global head of energy and power since 2015.  

Mr Donnelly will continue as global head of placement, a role he took last year. He was previously Marsh’s Asia-Pacific head of placement.  

The pair report to Marsh president and CEO Martin South. Mr Donnelly is moving from London to New York, and Mr George will be based in London.  

Mr South says Mr George’s appointment is a “testament to the incredible specialty talent and expertise that exists within our global organisation”.
