Lockton teams with Super Rugby club

Lockton has signed a three-year deal to be the official insurance broker of New Zealand-based Super Rugby team the Blues.

The partnership focuses on supporting youth players, with the broker named an official partner for the club’s high-performance development program and age group teams including the under-20s, unders-18s and under-17s.

The broker will also back community programs associated with the Auckland-based club as an official partner of the Blues Charitable Trust.

Lockton New Zealand CEO Craig Buckle says it is an “exciting opportunity for us to drive growth and innovation for both organisations over the next three years.

“Lockton and the Blues share a fierce commitment to service excellence and community engagement, so this is a partnership we’re truly proud of.”

Blues CEO Andrew Hore says the agreement is “not just a typical sponsorship or a transaction”.

“Our multi-year partnership will leave a legacy as Lockton works with the Blues to share knowledge in risk, insurance, data, analytics and people, helping to advance the risk management maturity of the wider Blues business community and to help build resilience in the Blues geographical regions,” he said.
