Landlord underwriting agencies set to merge
Landlord insurance specialist St George Underwriting Agency (SGUA) has announced it will combine with Property Insurance Plus (PIP) into a single landlord insurer.
SGUA says the merger will allow both brands to utilise their “combined underwriting capabilities and knowledge” to provide the best value for customers while maintaining a focus on their respective sectors.
The Perth-based underwriter began operations in 1991, specialising in insurance options for residential rentals and holiday homes. PIP launched in 2009, focusing on property protection and third-party risk in the real estate sector.
Both organisations say they will communicate with clients and brokers regarding any internal changes resulting from the merger.
