Ivory chief steps down

Ivory Insurance CEO Scott Lawrence has resigned after almost two years in the role, with a replacement to be named soon, the insurer announced today.

Mr Lawrence joined the business in August 2022 and was integral to its application for a licence to operate as a general insurer in Australia.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority granted the licence last December.

“The company was solely a start-up idea when Scott joined, and Scott has made a great contribution to make this idea a reality,” Chair Gregor Pfitzer said of the outgoing CEO, who previously worked at Guild Insurance, Ansvar Insurance, Zurich and Tokio Marine.

Ivory provides capacity and expertise to underwriting agencies in professional indemnity, IT liability and general liability insurance for SMEs.
