Insurance House launches Safe Scope workers’ compensation

The Insurance House workers’ compensation business has rebranded as Safe Scope as it establishes an independent identity and aims to meet rising demand for consultancy services.

Mark Farrugia, previously Head of Workers’ Compensation at Insurance House, becomes Safe Scope General Manager, while the existing team will continue with the rebranded business.

The consultancy’s services include renewal and placement, workplace industry classification reviews and assistance for clients in managing worker’ compensation processes, resolving claims quickly and helping to lower premiums.

Mr Farrugia says workers’ compensation expenses often represent the largest insurance bill for businesses, but independently dealing with the systems isn’t simple. This is particularly important given changes in schemes and often clients’ lack of experience and expertise in the area, which may fall between different roles within a company.

“Working through a consultant that has experience can really help businesses navigate through the system and get far better results,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“Employers need to understand their own premium and how it is calculated, and what are the drivers. They need to invest so they can improve in that area.”

Insurance House has provided advice in the workers’ compensation section nationally for more than a decade. The introduction of Safe Scope took effect at the start of the month.
