Hutch to unveil PI product
Hutch Underwriting will enter the financial lines market with the launch of a professional indemnity offering.
The Sydney underwriting agency currently specialises in strata and construction offerings, with backing from Lloyd’s.
It says its new product will target a range of industries including real estate, accounting, architecture, engineering, IT consultancy and allied health. It is expected to launch digitally via Ebix Sunrise Exchange next quarter.
Hutch has also named Ross Chambers as its Professional Indemnity Underwriting Manager. He joins from Solution Underwriting, where he was state manager for NSW, ACT and WA.
Mr Chambers says the product presents an “exciting opportunity” for the underwriter to enter a new market, and that it has a “whole suite of financial lines products lined up”.
“We’re planning to wow the market with our responsiveness and, of course, we’re expecting to bring some of that Hutch innovation to the professional indemnity wordings.”
CEO Robin Johnson says he hopes brokers “find our great service and innovative wordings as compelling in professional indemnity as it’s proven in our other lines”.
