Hutch introduces PI with cyber
Hutch Underwriting has launched a product that combines professional indemnity, public liability and a cybercrime extension.
The new professional indemnity suite is designed for a broad range of industries including accountants, architects, engineers, IT consultants and real estate professionals.
It covers up to $25,000 for loss of funds due to cybercrime and provides defence costs for liability claims resulting from the loss of personal information in a cyber breach.
“Everything else being equal, the best service wins out every time, and that’s why we’ve invested so heavily in tech to make our brokers’ lives easy – both in placement and in claims,” Hutch CEO Robin Johnson said. “They can spend less time on admin and more time with their clients.”
The new product is available on Ebix Australia’s Sunrise Exchange, where brokers can quote, bind and issue accounts in minutes with automated closings and invoices.
Sydney-based Hutch – which launched in 2022 and recently relocated to larger premises – says it is committed to one-business-day underwriter referral turnaround times.
“From residential strata to annual construction and now professional indemnity, Hutch provides clear, concise and efficient insurance solutions tailored to the needs of Australian brokers and their customers,” the company said.
