Almost 200 insurance industry members gathered last month to mark the 30-year anniversary of the founding of Melbourne-based Scott Winton Insurance Brokers.

The brokerage’s enduring success was celebrated at The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne on the last Thursday in July.

Fine wine and a lavish BBQ lunch was enjoyed in mild and dry winter weather, and guests enjoyed a live band and arcade amusement games.

"We had all the staff and insurance partners to celebrate this fantastic milestone,” Compliance and Office Manager Maria Tepelidis tells insuranceNEWS.com.au. “It was great to share this experience with fellow employees and business partners.”

The brokerage was founded in 1992 by the late Ron Tatarka, who died in 2018, and the team say his vision, passion and genuine care for clients set the foundations for continued success under the innovative leadership of his son, CEO Avi Tatarka.

Avi Tatarka was named Broker of the Year for Victoria/Tasmania in 2019 by the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA).
