Gallagher has appointed former Marsh Pacific CEO Nick Harris as its UK and Ireland Retail Division CEO. 

Last September, Mr Harris was appointed Marsh’s UK Retail CEO as the broker announced a leadership change in which Josh Roach was named Pacific head.

Mr Harris was Marsh’s Pacific CEO for four years after previously heading JLT Australia.

He will now take on the Gallagher role from July, reporting to UK CEO Michael Rea.

Mr Rea praised Mr Harris as a “natural leader who brings a commercially driven mind”.

“Having led this business myself for a number of years, I know that the team has unrivalled commitment and passion for our clients, providing them with advice on how to best manage their risk, enabling firms to focus on successful trading,” Mr Rea said.

“I am looking forward to working with him as we continue to grow Gallagher in the UK.”
