Gallagher scores Rugby Australia partnership

Gallagher will be the official insurance broking partner for Rugby Australia in a deal running until 2026.

The partnership covers teams including the Wallabies and Wallaroos, Super Rugby Women’s, under-16s and under-19s programs, and any future national club competition.

“This multi-year partnership deepens our global connections into rugby, which includes the Gallagher Premiership in the UK and our World Rugby partnership [and] supporting high-performance and women’s rugby as an official partner of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025,” Gallagher’s Asia and Australia CEO Sarah Lyons said.

“It is an honour to stand alongside Rugby Australia, with our shared values of excellence, integrity and inclusivity.”

The broker’s partnership with Rugby Australia began last September and the code’s CEO Phil Waugh has credited the business with having a “significant impact” on growing the sport.

“Gallagher is a huge supporter of rugby globally and with a huge emphasis on women’s rugby and sport in general,” Mr Waugh said.

“This commitment to supporting rugby in Australia is an exciting development and a partnership we look forward to expanding through to the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup and beyond.”

The decision follows Gallagher’s partnership with World Rugby, announced last May.
