Gallagher Re has named Andy Hulme as Head of Actuarial for Australia and New Zealand as it continues to bolster its executive team in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr Hulme joins Gallagher Re after serving three years as Senior Vice President at global reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter. He holds more than 25 years of industry experience and has previously worked with governmental entities concerning insurance risk transfer issues.

The appointment follows Heather Bone being named Gallagher Re’s Australia CEO in February as the broker continues to expand its portfolio in the country.

“These latest senior appointments build out our strategic analytical, actuarial and client engagement capabilities across the wider Asia Pacific region, which continues to be a significant growth area for Gallagher Re,” Asia Pacific MD Mark Morley said.

Roshan Perera, Yuan Tian, Cliff Downing, Richard Sanders, and Hitoshi Sonobe were also named to senior roles as part of Gallagher Re’s APAC executive team.

“Investment in attracting and retaining talent and expertise will always be a priority for us to support the evolution of our client proposition," Mr Morley said.
