NSW broker Acacia Insurance & Risk Services will merge with Omnisure, becoming part of the Steadfast-backed broking business from next month.

“This merger brings a fantastic blend of skill set and capability, with Acacia bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to our keen and energetic group of insurance professionals,” Omnisure MD Schalk Van Der Merwe said.

Acacia’s directors and staff will join Omnisure, and say it will be business as usual for clients.

“We enjoyed being part of the Insurance Advisernet family over the past six years,” director Martin van Rhoon said.

“In the end, we believed [joining] Omnisure was the right decision for us and our clients.

“On a personal note, I’m looking forward to working side by side with my son, Tristen [a risk adviser at Omnisure], as part of an existing and vibrant Omnisure team.”
