Underwriting agency Dual Group has hired Scott Sayce to take the newly created role of emerging products head.

Mr Sayce starts on September 1 based in London, reporting to group director of underwriting David Harries.

He was most recently global head of cyber at Allianz Commercial. Dual says Mr Sayce has more than two decades’ specialist lines insurance experience, including an earlier role as group head of financial lines and cyber at Axa Group.

“Scott has a proven track record of bringing innovative and complex products to market,” Mr Harries said.

Mr Sayce will work closely with regional CEOs and underwriting teams to grow the emerging products business.

Dual is part of the Howden Group and says in Australia it has more than 100,000 policies transacted annually, through more than 8500 individual insurance brokers.
