Crawford names new leader for growing TPA operation
Claims manager Crawford & Company has appointed Milia Xystros as head of its third-party administration business in Australia.
She joins from Procare Claims & Risk, where she served as an executive manager in claims. Her previous experience includes 11 years at IAG across two stints, and a background in law.
Crawford & Company’s TPA business supports insurers, brokers and other partnered companies with claims, detailing developments and providing compliance and risk management feedback.
Australia president Jonathan Hubbard says the business has been identified as a “strategic area of growth”.
“In Australia, we see significant growth potential for TPA, particularly as brokers with delegated authority enter the market but don’t have the appetite for the risks associated with claims handling themselves,” he said.
“I am very confident Milia will take our TPA business to a new level of client satisfaction; she has outstanding credentials and a proven track record of operational excellence.”
Ms Xystros says it was a “straightforward decision” to take the role, and a “strong third-party administration model is something that is going to become increasingly important for the success of insurers, brokers and corporates.
“When we can align the claims management strategy, cultures and processes with our client, we can better support delivery of their strategic outcomes, while ensuring regulatory compliance and solid customer outcomes.”
