Cornerstone Risk Group, a Resilium authorised representative, has acquired Wollongong-based MKS Insurance Services. 

MKS, which started in 2016, has clients throughout NSW and the ACT, providing business insurance across an array of industries. 

“Cornerstone Risk Group already has a large and growing presence in NSW. However, the acquisition of MKS Insurance Services allows us to even further extend our geographic reach in the region,” Cornerstone Director Scott Mitchell said. 

“There will be no significant changes to the MKS business as a result of this acquisition, other than that the MKS team will join our larger group and gain from our existing connections and relationships.” 

Other recent acquisitions by Cornerstone include Central Highlands Insurance Services, Surefinity Insurance Brokers, Total Insurance Agencies, PMA Trilogy Insurance Solutions, Hayes Insurance Services and Professional Insurance Agencies. 

MKS Director Koert Slik says being a part of the larger network “will provide support for our staff, who will continue to provide professional advice to our clients, some of whom have been valued partners for many years”. 

Cornerstone Risk Group, in consultation with Resilium Partners and Envest, says it continues to seek acquisitions, with other targets in its sights.
