Allianz-owned boat insurer Club Marine has become a member of the Underwriting Agencies Council.

Tim Wiles, who took over as CEO this month, says the affiliation marks a significant milestone.

“We are excited to join the UAC at a key time where we have recently launched our revised, market-leading pleasure craft product,” he said.

“It supports our broker strategy, provides us with a marketing advantage within our sector, and further aligns us with the insurance industry.”

Club Marine is Australia’s largest provider of recreational boat insurance. It exhibited at the UAC 2024 Melbourne Market Exchange on Tuesday, and will participate in upcoming UAC events around the country.

Mr Wiles, formerly COO, took the top role following the departure of Karen Te Maipi. He joined the business in 2007 as a junior underwriter.

UAC represents most Australian underwriting agencies and has more than 100 corporate members.
