CFC appoints cyber contact for intermediaries
Michael Lewis has been appointed CFC cyber development manager for Australia, acting as a dedicated point of contact for brokers.
He will help brokers increase their cyber knowledge and confidence and “improve their cyber conversion and growth targets across their commercial portfolios”, CFC says.
Head of cyber development Lindsey Nelson says CFC is “on a mission to ensure every Australian broker has access to our award-winning cyber cover, and Mike is going to play a crucial role in helping us achieve this ambition.”
Melbourne-based Mr Lewis was most recently Emergence Insurance business development underwriter for two years. He has also held roles at PSC, CGU, MGA Insurance and TravelCard.
CFC, which has had an incident response team on the Gold Coast for several years, says the appointment marks an important step for its Australian cyber team.
“Mike will be our first dedicated cyber business development resource hired locally,” Ms Nelson said. “His exceptional relationships, development skills and extensive knowledge of the cyber market make him ideally placed to help deepen and diversify our broker partnerships across the country.”
Mr Lewis says he “relishes the challenge” of helping brokers become cyber specialists and working to close the protection gap.
