CBN marks ‘monumental milestone’ at annual conference
Community Broker Network (CBN) has hailed this year’s SHINE conference as a “momentous occasion” after it revealed several key developments to more than 350 of its authorised brokers and other industry attendees.
The three-day event, held at Novotel Twin Waters Resort in Sunshine Coast from September 17 to 19, began with an opening speech from CEO Richard Crawford, announcing the network passed more than $1 billion in gross written premium.
Mr Crawford says the achievement is a “testament to the unwavering dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence displayed by the CBN network”.
The conference also saw CBN Executive Manager, Strategy and Culture Nese Akay unveil several new initiatives, including a new broker portal, real time data and analytics tools for the network, and an innovative online insurance brand aimed at providing growth opportunities for CBN authorised brokers.
The event was marked with a charity gala dinner and auction, with the attendees raising $101,100 for Foodbank.
CBN used the conference to recognise the success of its network members and partners with its annual awards. A full list of award winners can be read below.
The network says the event reinforced its mission for “continued growth and success in the insurance industry,” as it begins the countdown to next year’s conference, which will be hosted in Auckland from September 2-4.
