Gallagher has elevated NSW Manager Professional & Financial Risks Rob McCabe to National Placement Manager.

The broker announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post, saying Mr McCabe has the ability to understand both client needs and insurer risk assessment and thinking, attributes that he honed during his 20-plus years working for international insurers and Gallagher.

Mr McCabe joined Gallagher in February 2020 and commenced in his current role in January, according to his LinkedIn account.

“Working with international insurers for most of my career centred my skills technically around the importance of breadth of product coverage with a focus on ensuring clarity of underwriting intent and overall contract certainty,” Mr McCabe said.

Meanwhile Brisbane-based QIB Group has recruited Steadfast executive Adrian Humphreys to join the business as Chief Commercial Officer where he will be responsible for the commercial strategy and the development of the business.

He will lead activities relating to client service, new business, retention, acquisitions, placement, marketing and product development to drive business growth and integrated commercial success.

Mr Humphreys took up the role in January, according to his LinkedIn account. He was previously Steadfast EGM Broker Performance and Acting CEO Austcover Insurance Brokers.
