British brokers look to future with ‘fresh perspective’

“A new era” is the theme for next year’s British Insurance Brokers’ Association Conference.

The event will “lead the conversation in defining what brokers want the future of the industry to look like, with new energy, ideas, revenue streams and challenges”, the association says.

“Insurance brokers are known to look creatively at the world’s emerging risks, and ‘a new era’ explores more options to do just that.”

The conference is the largest insurance broking forum in Europe, attracting more than 9500 attendees. Seminar sessions will cover topics including fair value, claims, regulation and capacity.

BIBA CEO Graeme Trudgill says the past 25 years have brought seven prime ministers, a new regulator, Brexit, a cost-of-living crisis and changing risks.

“Now is the time to look forward with a fresh perspective on what’s to come. I know our members will find insurance solutions for the new risks people and businesses will face as we enter ‘a new era’ of broking,” he said.

The two-day conference runs from May 14 in Manchester.
