BMS Risk Solutions has appointed Nathan Richmond as director for Auckland.

He will oversee the company’s North Island expansion in collaboration with the Christchurch and Dunedin operations, while contributing to strategic goals. He will also manage the Auckland operational team.

Mr Richmond started the role on May 1, joining from Marsh after more than two decades with the global broker.

He was most recently Marsh’s global head of product innovation. In previous roles, he was instrumental in improving client and market solutions, formulating and executing growth strategies, and structuring and placing large insurance programs in New Zealand and other markets.

BMS says Mr Richmond has a track record of building and driving high-performance teams with a focus on client service. “[He] joins BMS as it looks to expand its North Island client base and market presence following its capture of corporate business and institutional market attention since establishing in October 2021.”

New Zealand director David Gibbons says Mr Richmond brings “a wealth of expertise”.
