Blue Zebra revamps small business offering
Underwriting agency Blue Zebra has released Small Business Insurance 2.0 as it seeks to further grow its SME customer base.
The SME product initially launched in 2020 with a smaller offering and narrower appetite but has gradually expanded in response to broker demand and input, Blue Zebra says.
“The continued growth of our SME portfolio is strategically important to maintain a diversified, sustainable and balanced market presence,” Chief Underwriting Officer for SME Mark Polglase said.
Mr Polglase says version 2.0 of the SME product has more descriptive occupation selections and a host of other new capabilities.
“We’ve also introduced an automated address matching system and have allowed the input of multiple occupation selections due to the increasing prevalence of businesses conducting more than one activity,” he said. “The addition of more intuitive and meaningful question sets for key market segments, new quote pathway for property owners and refined underwriting rules means our referral rate is now sub-3%.
“I don’t think there is anyone in the industry with a referral rate that low and it is testament to our commitment to continuously improving Blue Zebra’s position as the industry leader and a broker’s preferred partner.”
