BizCover has announced several internal promotions and hires in a move that it says supports its expansion.

The SME insurance service provider says Shaneika Sutherland will be its new Broker Operations and Distribution Manager, where she will drive engagement and growth with its market comparer site, BizCover for Brokers.

BizCover CEO Michael Gottlieb also announced Daniel Quinn as the company’s inaugural Head of Customer Acquisition, focusing on attracting new clientele for its direct business.

Mr Gottlieb says Mr Quinn’s appointment was a “natural choice”, having served six years at BizCover as Sales Manager, among other roles. Mr Quinn’s former position will be taken up by Joshua Newton.

BizCover says it will also be launching a marketing team for its New Zealand channel, headed by newly appointed Marketing Manager Nicole Kampschreur.

“We have successfully grown our business there with a centralised model, but we feel it is time for New Zealand to have more focused resources, autonomy, and accountability,” Mr Gottlieb said.

BizCover tells insuranceNEWS.com.au that it is nearing a 10% SME market share in Australia and has similar aspirations for the NZ market, which currently has 12,000 customers.
