Insurtech platform BizCover says it now provides insurance for more than 200,000 small businesses, accounting for around 10% of the sector in Australia.

BizCover says its online platform connects small businesses with multiple insurers, providing competitive quotes and the ability to buy insurance in minutes.

Owned by AUB Group, BizCover says 16.6% year-on-year growth is supported by partnerships with QBE, AIG, Vero, Chubb, DUAL, Berkley, Hollard and Point Insurance.

"We are thrilled that more than 200,000 small and medium enterprises are insured through our platform, and it is an incredible achievement that highlights our dedication to supporting small businesses across Australia," BizCover CEO and co-founder Michael Gottlieb said.

"Since our inception 15 years ago, we have been unwavering in our mission to make insurance easy and affordable for small businesses. This milestone exemplifies our commitment to harnessing the latest technologies to ensure that Australian small businesses enjoy a hassle-free experience when purchasing their insurance."

Mr Gottlieb says BizCover has its sights set on a next milestone to insure 250,000 customers.

"We are excited for the next phase of growth as we continue to disrupt and lead how SMEs manage their business insurance."
