Bellrock has appointed Joseph Hershewe as practice leader for its claims advocacy team.

He will take over from Mat Holland, who will assist during a brief transition period before moving to a new role in the company.

Mr Hershewe joins the broker after seven years at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he served as a claims manager for executive and professional lines and healthcare.

He also has experience with Catlin Group as a claims adjuster, a position he took after moving to Australia from the US in 2014.

Bellrock Advisory CEO Marc Chiarella says Mr Hershewe is “the ideal leader who will build on the claims advocacy standards set by Mat Holland over the past five years”.
