‘Be prepared’: broking expert to address catastrophic cyber risk at seminar
Marsh McLennan regional head of cyber Gill Collins will deliver key insights on preparing for a catastrophic cyber event at an upcoming Insurance News seminar.
The half-day Decrypting Cyber seminar is in Sydney on November 21 and early bird tickets are available now.
Ms Collins will examine how the insurance industry supports the strengthening of cyber resilience and addresses quantifiable cyber risks. She will also consider what needs to be done to prepare for unquantifiable catastrophic cyber events.
The presentation will run through high-profile incidents, the types of potential cyber catastrophes, and the role of the public sector.
The seminar follows a successful insurtech conference in August and sold-out strata seminar in May, and promises critical insights on the latest trends and practical strategies for advising SMEs before and after a cyberattack.
It will begin with an industry overview from Taylor Fry principal Win-Li Toh, followed by an interactive session – Busting Cyber Myths: Turning Business Concerns Into Actionable Solutions – with Coalition GM Sam Weaver.
Insurance News MD Andrew Silcox will then lead a panel discussion – So, You’ve Been Attacked? What Next? – featuring Wotton + Kearney partners Kieran Doyle and Nicole Gabryk, Porter Novelli CEO Rhys Ryan and Triskele Labs senior analyst Nick Thanos.
The seminar is backed by event partners Coalition and Wotton + Kearney, and sponsor Australia Underwriting.
Attendees are entitled to four NIBA CPD points and four ANZIIF CIP points.
