Aviso Broking has acquired Scott Insurance Consulting, a transport-focused authorised representative (AR) of Resilium Insurance Broking. 

The Newcastle-based AR owned and managed by Shane Scott has been in business for more than 27 years. 

“Shane and his team have built a solid business with a strong reputation for offering the best advice on transport insurance,” Aviso Broking CEO Jeff Moule said. 

“His integrity-driven approach is a great fit with Aviso Broking and we look forward to maintaining the level of service their clients expect.” 

The acquisition is Aviso Broking’s fourth purchase this year and its third in the Newcastle region after Pender Insurance and Lonny Hawkins. 

Aviso Broking is part of the Envest Group, an Australian insurance investment and distribution business that was acquired by Ardonagh Group last year for $482 million. 

Ardonagh, the UK’s largest independent broker, owns Resilium Insurance Broking and Epsilon Underwriting. 

The acquisition of Scott Insurance Broking is a first involving a Resilium AR since Aviso and Resilium were united under the Envest Group umbrella in February.
