AR eyes fresh start after leaving Insurance House
NSW authorised representative Insure Today will operate under a new licensed entity called Broker Connect.
The business, which was previously an AR for Insurance House, says the move opens a “new chapter” and ends a 10-year partnership with the group.
Director and compliance manager Harpal Singh told insuranceNEWS.com.au the new entity marks an expansion of services.
“Our existing ... AR will trade as it is, however, under our own [Australian financial services licence] entity – Broker Connect – and this new entity will eventually look at onboarding and mentoring new ARs to this new platform,” Mr Singh said.
“As the name indicates – Broker Connect – our ARs would feel connected as they grow their own individual businesses.”
Mr Singh says Broker Connect, which will be a Steadfast member, will focus on improving industry standards and providing education to its client base, among other key goals.
"[We will pay] individual attention to every AR and understand their specific business needs, encouraging creative ways of marketing (like industry education), and ensuring the higher standards are followed by ARs so it becomes hard for others to compete," he said.
He thanked Insurance House and says Broker Connect will look to apply lessons learnt through the partnership.
