Aon names new financial chief

Global broker Aon has appointed Edmund Reese as CFO.

He will join on July 1 to succeed Christa Davies, who will certify the second-quarter results and assist in the transition as senior adviser before retiring next year, as announced previously.

Mr Reese has spent more than 25 years in financial leadership roles at large public companies in the financial services, payments and technology sectors. He was most recently CFO with Broadridge Financial Solutions, a New York-listed fintech.

As Aon CFO, he will be responsible for the finance function and capital allocation strategy.

“Edmund will further enhance our focus on top- and bottom-line growth, disciplined capital allocation, and portfolio management to deliver positive outcomes for our clients, colleagues and shareholders,” CEO Greg Case said.
