Aon’s analytics head for Asia-Pacific reinsurance Peter Cheesman will oversee commercial risk in the region as part of an expanded role.

Mr Cheesman, who is based in Sydney, will become head of analytics for risk capital in Asia-Pacific.

He will lead the development and implementation of analytics solutions across both the insurance and reinsurance sectors.

The global broker announced the appointment as part of changes to strengthen its analytics capabilities.

Luis Acevedo, based in Miami, has been named head of analytics for commercial risk in Latin America. He was previously data analytics leader for commercial risk in the region.

“These new appointments support Aon Actionable Analytics, which brings together proprietary and third-party data, tools and analytics professionals to help shape better decisions for clients,” Aon said.
