Allianz Australia has appointed industry veteran Greg Steel as its Head of Motor Fleet Underwriting. 

Mr Steel brings nearly three decades of experience, including time at IAG, where he was motor claims executive manager, and Suncorp, where he held several key positions across eight years. He has also worked at Vero and most recently was a business development consultant at automation company Diverseco. 

Mr Steel says his immediate priority is meeting insurance and broking partners.

“I’m looking forward to good conversations to help understand what we do well at the moment and which areas offer an opportunity for improvement,” he said.

“My goal is to add value for [brokers] – I’m leveraging the experience I’ve gleaned working in various motor roles across the customer value chain to make your work easier and better.”
