Allianz Commercial Australia has promoted John Whealans to the role of broker partnerships head.

Mr Whealans has been with Allianz since 2020, when he began as a key accounts manager for NSW brokers. He later moved to a national relationship manager position.  

In a LinkedIn post, Allianz says Mr Whealans “has driven progress on a number of key commercial initiatives. His passion for people development, customer outcomes and driving collaboration across teams means he is excellently placed to lead our team of national relationship managers”.  

Mr Whealans’ previous experience includes time at Aon and industry recruitment companies Ensure and Kennedy Reid Group.
