Allianz's Michael Winter continues to be questioned about "misleading assertions" on the insurer's website.

Counsel Assisting Rowena Orr highlights the "about us" section of the website which said customers in Australia could rely on the fact that Allianz was a "global company".

Ms Orr referred to an email from a legal adviser that warned the Australian and global companies were separate, and it was not appropriate to link the two in this way.

Mr Winter agreed with Ms Orr that "several different kinds of misleading content" had been flagged on the website.

However, no immediate action was taken. Allianz was aware for two months that the misleading content was there, "and had done nothing" to take down the offending content, Ms Orr said.
