WorkCover SA opens claims agent nominations
Employers in SA can now nominate which agent will manage their WorkCover claims next year.
They can pick from Gallagher Bassett and Employers Mutual, and the workers’ compensation scheme says it will make every effort to accommodate their choice.
However, it reserves the right to “adjust the agent market share for the benefit of the scheme”.
The SA Government is considering a two-stage change to its workers’ compensation system.
Stage one would stabilise the program through a greater focus on return to work, with phase two involving a “root and branch recasting”.
The state’s average WorkCover premium is the highest in the country at 2.75%.
