Wilkie faces new charges
Former FAI COO Daniel Wilkie was back in court last week only a few days after being acquitted in the NSW Supreme Court of failing to act honestly in the exercise of his powers and providing false and misleading information.
Along with Ashraf Kamha, GM of FAI’s commercial and professional indemnity division, Mr Wilkie has been charged with being privy to the fraudulent altering of a book affecting or relating to the affairs of FAI.
The charges relate to allegations that FAI’s claims database was altered and claims estimates reduced.
Anthony Boulden, FAI’s financial controller in commercial and professional indemnity division, has been charged with failing to act honestly in the exercise of his powers and discharge of his duties.
Mr Kamha went on to become CEO and then Chairman of Dexta, but no longer has an association with the underwriting agency.
Mr Wilkie will return to the local court in Sydney on January 31. Mr Kamha and Mr Boulden will reappear on February 28.
