WorkCover WA has announced a 3.2% rise in recommended premium rates for compulsory workers’ compensation insurance next financial year.

The average rate will be 1.525% of total wages, up from 1.478% this financial year.

It says rising claims costs and lower forecasted wages and employment numbers are behind the recommended rise.
