The Victorian Government is considering merging the two state-owned accident schemes, WorkSafe and the Transport Accident Commission.

The Government has asked its Essential Services Commission to review the two authorities.

Reports say a merger is one of the options being considered as the Liberal-National coalition executes a policy of streamlining regulatory processes and cutting costs out of government.
