Victoria names new TAC head
The Victorian Government has appointed Tracey Slatter as the new CEO of the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
Ms Slatter will take over from current CEO Joe Calafiore, who is leaving his role following eight years at the helm.
Ms Slatter previously served at the state insurer as Head of Claims between 2009 and 2013 before holding roles as CEO of inner-Melbourne city council Port Phillip and MD of regional water corporation Barwon Water.
“I am thrilled to welcome Tracey Slatter to the role of CEO at the TAC – I am confident that her leadership will help the organisation continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for all Victorians,” Victorian Road Safety Minister Melissa Horne said.
“I look forward to working with Tracey as she leads the TAC in achieving our ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030.”
Ms Slatter is expected to begin her role on July 3.
