Treasury calls for feedback on regulation updates
Treasury wants submissions on updated insurance contract regulations that will take effect next April, when current arrangements expire.
“The regulations remake and improve the Insurance Contracts Regulations 1985 by simplifying language and restructuring provisions for ease of navigation,” Treasury says.
Changes include rewording some definitions to improve clarity, removing time periods that have passed, adding headings to improve readability, and language and formatting alterations to align with current drafting practices.
“These changes do not alter the substantive meaning or operation of the provisions,” it says.
Submissions are due on November 10 via email or post.
